Protecting the Hatching Ideas wellbeing through Slack

The Hatching Ideas team have made the decision to introduce Slack as a way to help staff achieve a better work / life balance.

With the majority of the Hatching Ideas team working from home, it can be difficult to know when the working day ends and your own time begins!

Simon’s recent work on resilience and wellbeing has highlighted the importance of instilling boundaries for the benefits of one’s physical, mental and emotional health

Historically, we would rely on WhatsApp to communicate with each other; however, this can cause an uncomfortable intrusion on one’s personal life – especially as WhatsApp is a key communication tool for keeping in contact with family and friends. Therefore we have made the decision to migrate our team communication onto Slack to create a clearer divide between work and downtime for the team.
